2023-2024 Concert Season

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 2, 2023

In the best tradition of the Grande Prairie Singers, we present a wide array of contemporary and classical music, both sacred and secular, to welcome the Christmas season, including works from Kodaly and Bach to Forrest, Rutter and Brunner.  And an audience sing of favorite carols!

SUNDAY, APRIL 7, 2024

Designed for the beautiful, open space of St. Veronica church, we sing music perfectly suited for this gracious acoustic, including works by Randall Thompson, Thomas Tallis, John Rutter, Ola Gjeilo, Elaine Hagenberg and David Brunner.

SATURDAY, JUNE 15, 2024

Langston Hughes’ poem I Dream A World is the focus of this program of songs of hope and justice for a world desperately in need of both.

Each season the Grande Prairie Singers present three concerts, each with a different theme that features choral music from many times and places, contexts and cultures, languages, and traditions.  Join us to hear something you may already be familiar with - and something new you don’t yet know that you love!  As a gift to the community, our concerts are free.  We will, however, be happy to accept your free-will donation!

“The Grande Prairie Singers are a strong, dedicated, and exceptionally talented musical group.”

Francesco Milioto, Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra Conductor
